A Letter From the Owners

For more than 25 years Ashton and James Cox have been passionate about the horse industry. Ashton’s first love was the horse; riding, training, teaching lessons, showing and anything horse was important.

Ashton and James met working at a hunter/Jumper Farm while attending Florida State University in Tallahassee. Ashton was working for Tenney’s Custom Saddlery to receive continued leather repair training and James finished his degree in Business at FSU.

We have come a long way! Since our 2013 beginnings, Northwest Saddlery has moved to N. Pinellas county and grown now to include two mobile locations, a fully shoppable website, saddle fitting services, saddle repair consultations, and personal shopping services.

Our goal is always to provide a personalized shopping experience for each customer, guaranteeing they (and their trainer) will always love what they take home! We strive to carry products and brands that are not only innovative, but high quality. We enjoy working closely with trainers and parents to make sure the fit is always perfect!

At Northwest Saddlery, you are able to purchase your everyday needs from our large inventory as well as find unique products unlike those in any other tack store. In our quest to be the best, we have developed Cox Bridle Co., manufacturing high quality Sedgwick Bridles and strap goods and have other manufacturing projects to debut in 2019.

Northwest Saddlery provides top quality boot repair, saddle, bridle and other leather repairs for English Saddlery. Riders from all over the country ship their tack to us for a timely and professional repair.

Ashton and James both ride and show competitively at the “A” Show level. We are excited to begin introducing our son Wyatt to the sport in years to come!

We invite you to visit our mobile units, make a personal shopping appointment, or shop our website and meet us in person!

Best Regards,
